The test is based on a double indicator principle which gives a broad range of colors covering the entire urinary pH range. With an increase in urinary pH, the indicators bromothymol blue and methyl red, changes from orange to green and blue. Detection range: pH 5 - 9.0 Active reagent: bromothymol blue (6,0% w/w); methyl red (3,0% w/w).
