Although infection with the HIV virus is one of the most problematic health issues at the moment, it is really the containment of spreading the Aids virus which should first be looked at, and this can happen in a couple of ways - contaminated blood, or body fluids from an infected person.

Spreading the Aids virus
With contaminate blood or body fluids the spreading of the Aids virus is most commonly transmitted in the following ways:
- having oral sex, vaginal sex or anal sex with an infected person
- receiving blood from an infected person
- accidental injury with infected item, such as an infected needle
- infected mothers to their babies in certain cases
- sharing needles in drug usage with an infected person
- but - it does not get transmitted in casual contact such as shaking hands etc.
